FROM CLAYTON

Hi Roger,

Just a quick update for the website,

OK, have had letters from 24/7 and Potterton on the subject of 16th April Power Outage. I have scanned them and have attached for reference.

The 24/7 one confirmed the details of the power cut, in addition for those people who suffered damage on the 16th April 2003, 24/7 advised both myself and Kath Saunders (through telephone calls) that any claim should go to Mowlem, FAO Mr Michael McGee at the Mowlem A428 (T) Cambourne site, Mowlem had sub contracted this piece of work and they will forward any claims to there sub-contractor. Anyway although we are going round the house those people effected on the 16th April may have some luck in getting some compensation!!!! Kath will advise if she is successful in her claim. Since I was covered by British Gas I have no need to make a claim. As for Potterton, sort of a standard letter of response. Anyway, I intend to follow up and send letter to the Plumbers and Heating engineers used to get statements as to there opinions on why they replaced the boards in the specific cases that have been raised. Then I intend to reply to Potterton's again (sending copies of any letters I get from the plumbers) and give further details of the goings on in Cambourne and ask them to investigate further.

If that doesn't get somewhere, then Watchdog seems the next best place!!!

Cheers

Clayton
