I apologise on behalf of Breheny for the disruption caused to the residents of Willow Lane and Tithe Way for the twenty minute period this morning when they found that the buses could not safely get past their road works in Jeavons Lane.The Traffic Management plan agreed with Breheny had the works in the north and south channel at different times during the day, however their surfacing sub-contractor decided to work both sides of the road at the same time, controlling alternate working for car drivers. It was decided after the problems getting the first bus past to divert them whilst the asphalt was compacted and cooled. This took approx. 20 minutes before there was sufficient width to get the buses past the remainder of the works.
