Flagship BMW and MINI dealership opens at Cambourne

With customers at the heart of its groundbreaking design, Elms Cambridge opens the doors to an iconic £8.5 million dealership on Monday 6 June at Cambourne.

Elms Cambridge is relocating from Great Shelford to provide customers with a larger and more interactive showroom, additional parking spaces and a range of facilities including a new cosmetic repair centre. A luxury café bar will offer customers a selection of refreshments whilst they are visiting the new dealership. And service customers are assured of a gold star experience, with extra service loan cars added to the fleet and extra collection and delivery services throughout the day.

Elms Cambridge’s flagship facility in Cambourne brings a boost to the local economy with an increase in customers to the area and new jobs created. Twelve local people have already been appointed to join the team of 50 moving from Great Shelford.

The 24 car BMW showroom will include a premium undercover used car area, with a separate 6 car MINI showroom creating the ultimate MINI experience. A new high-tech service workshop will offer customers the best in after sales care, including an MOT centre, a competitive tyre service and a cosmetic repair centre.

This 3.5 acre iconic build also showcases a range of renewable energy solutions including photovoltaic cells and energy efficient lighting, which align perfectly with the BMW Group’s EfficientDynamics and MINIMALISM technologies that reduce CO2 emissions while delivering an increase in performance.

The build is a partnership between Elms BMW and MINI, parent company Bedfordia Group, and construction firm SDC from Bedford. Cambridge based property company Wrenbridge partnered Bedfordia Group in procuring the land for development at Cambourne. Wrenbridge are also joint developers of the nearby Cambourne Business Park.

The Elms Group employs around 200 people and has dealerships in Bedford, Cambridge and Bishop’s Stortford.
