The Developers are intent on growing Cambourne, they have permission for 3000 homes.
They were allowed an extra 10% for design reasons
They now want to increase the number to 4859 on virtually the same footprint, resulting in higher density, permission was refused for this and another application they made for 5044, but they have appealed, the inquiry started on 22nd June and finished on 30th June, the meeting will reconvene later to finalise agreement on the legal agreement - for the proposal should it be approved. The result of the inquiry was expected late 2004. We still await this decision in April 2005.
