RESIDENT REPORTS
THE FOLLOWING ARE MISLEADING STATEMENTS MADE AT THE EXHIBITION TODAY IF YOU DON'T GET MORE HOMES HERE YOU WON'T GET SHOPS, not true I know there is a demand, what PERHAPS they want is higher "cambridge" rents from those units
IF YOU DON'T AGREE TO MORE HOMES YOU WON'T GET A PUB, same answer as above 3/4 million for the pub site alone IF YOU DON'T AGREE TO MORE HOMES THE BUS SERVICE WILL NOT IMPROVE, can you name a village or town that does have a 10 minute service they are promising DON'T WORRY ABOUT MORE TRAFFIC WE WILL BUILD MORE ROADS CROSSING CURRENT AREAS MARKED AS GREENWAYS OR LOCAL AREAS FOR PLAY, SPECIFICALLY THE TITHE WAY LAP. Not true, planning say they have no chance YOU ARE NAIVE IF YOU THINK WE WILL BUILD WHAT WAS PROMISED WHEN YOU BOUGHT YOUR HOME, then I'm naive THE CAMBOURNE CRIER IS ALARMIST AND HAS CAUSED UNNECESSARY WORRY, err it is responding to their planning application THEY GOT REALLY BRISTLY WHEN THE ERRORS IN THIER LATEST LEAFLET WERE MENTIONED, "the crier makes mistakes too they said". WE ARE GOING TO BUILD 10,000 HOMES, THEN YOU WILL GET A SECONDARY SCHOOL IT IS ALL CUT AND DRIED YOU JUST HAVE TO ACCEPT IT
ANOTHER RESIDENT RESPONDS The word naive was used a lot yesterday. We were also informed that this was never meant to be a village, yet they are still printing articles using the phrase Cambourne village. We were also informed that Marketing and the Concept Centre have never marketed it as a village... yet the Concept centre are still giving the same spiel now as they did to me 3 years ago. When I mentioned the extra traffic that 1700 homes would bring, the only response I got was that the A428 was designed in mind to cope with all the additional housing. |
