BATTLE WON - BUT PROBABLY NOT THE WAR
ONCE AGAIN THE REVISED DEVELOPERS PLANS HAVE BEEN REJECTED 1ST OCTOBER 2003, WE NOW EXPECT THEM TO APPEAL

At today's Development and Control meeting (ie planning) at South Cambs District Council, The Developers Proposal for Cambourne Enhanced was unanimously rejected.

I hope that the developers will now see they were wrong to propose such a scheme, no doubt adversly affecting their own carefully laid plans to ensure that Cambourne was successful and was seen as a wonderful place to live, a factor we all considered so important when moving here.

They now have the opportunity to confirm this view by admitting their mistake and NOT appealing the decision

WE LIVE IN HOPE

AT LAST NIGHTS MLC MEETING, IAN DOUGLAS REPRESENTING THE DEVELOPERS, INDICATED THAT THEY CONSIDERED THE PLANS "TO HAVE MERIT"

SO THEY ARE LIKELY TO APPEAL

IT WAS ASLO DISCLOSED THAT THE HIGH STREET WOULD BE CLOSED WHILE THE HIGH STREET IS BEING BUILT, THE BUS WILL BE DIVERTED, IT IS HOPED TO START THIS YEAR WITH THE NORTH SIDE UP TO THE HEALTH CENTRE FROM MORRISONS.
