SCDC PLANNING CONTROL 7TH APRIL 2004
SCDC PLANNING COMMITTEE APRIL - CAMBOURNE issues

DCCC meeting

Well, here we go again.

The onslaught began with a roasting for the article in the Cambourne Crier entitled "Enhanced by the back door".

Described as slander, a personal insult, an attempt of political gain. They are referring it to the SCDC legal department. Perhaps the legal department will actually read the words

They completely failed to argue the case and did not dispute the figures from which we derived our "one reading" comment of the situation. In fact no one questioned the figures at all

All they concentrated on was the words questioning SCDC's sincerity and being in league with the developers in aiming at a much higher number of houses.

They said the Crier item was not attributed to anyone, in fact it was signed by MLC resident members. What was unclear about that ?

Daphne Spink declared that the MLC was disolved last night, being the last formal meeting, that is simply not true, the MLC will continue considering planning matters and dealing with all those other issues until the Parish Council is formed in June.

It is really frustrating having no voice representing our views.
