I have recently been made aware of some vehicles using the streets of Cambourne as a bit of a race track, this is not only cars but motor bikes as well. The two main areas I have had highlighted to me are the area of Back Lane near the football pitches and also the High Street outside "The Hub". I would just like to stress that we do take vehicles drinving dangerously very seriously, esspecially with the amount of small children in Cambourne.

The punishments for this can be quite severe, from having your vehicle seized, to having points on your licence as well as a fine, or even a court appearance.

If you do witness vehicles driving in a dangerous or anti social manner then please report them to us so we can take the appropriate action.

If it is safe to do so the registration number of the vehicle and possibily a description of the rider or driver of the vehicle would be an advantage. When reporting this please use the 0845 456 456 4 number. Regards from the neighbourhood team

During the evening of Friday 26th January 2007 there were a number of officers assigned to working in Cambourne on this evening to decrease the Anti-Social Behaviour that has crept back over the last few weeks.

Many of you may have seen Police Officers driving around, on foot patrol or the CCTV van that we utilised.

With all of this Police presence, Anti-Social Behaviour was low, with us confiscating alcohol from one 14 year old and dispersing one group of 9 youths.

Patrols extending around the whole of Great and Lower Cambourne and to The Vine School and also in the Eco Park.

With your help to report incidents, we hope that this ASB decrease will continue.
