Morning Roger,
This is just a quick e-mail to say thankyou for the welcome pack. We have moved into Cambourne just over a month ago.
I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction on the following questions:
Who do I need to contact about Street lighting where I am living (there is none currently) ?
Do new houses normally have an Aerial installed in the roof ? (Mine is a Bovis Home)
How long do the developers have to sort out the Snag list ?
Is Lower Cambourne allowed Satellite dishes as there is no ADSL or Cable installed in the area ? (Loads of houses currently have it installed)

Street lighting (until the roads are adopted) are the responsibility of your
builder (except spine roads such as school Lane who come under the project office). Lighting should be provide where there are occupied homes, assuming they are not private roads..
New house do not come with aerials but the wiring is in place

Satellite dishes, are being reviewed, you will notice that Bryant already supply them with new homes. http://www.cambourne.info/sattelite.html will direct you to where and where not they can go. It was never intended to allow dishes and covenants are in place to prevent them, but in your case there is no NTL service (as was planned). You have 2 years to raise snagging lists, but obviously things like decorating should be notified ASAP. Copy all your letters to Bovis head office as well as local AND KEEP copies. They will normally send out the site manager to ask about problems soon after you move in, at least they used to ! Persevere and put signs in your windows if you are not happy, works well, they soon fix things.
