What is the Big Squiggle?
Formerly known as the Big Draw, a nationwide event to encourage drawing and art generally, we (in Cambourne) changed the name to The Big Squiggle in 2017 so we could do our own thing.

The local community event happens around April and October and involves volunteers getting together several times throughout the year to decide on a variety of art and craft activities for the day.
The event is free for all, costs being covered by the kind support of the Cambourne Town Council, and from time to time also the Cambourne Crier, and through donations on the day.

The aim is to encourage everyone to take part, and the activities are carefully chosen so there is something to interest all comers – from the very young to the very old!

Volunteers for the event are warmly welcomed!
Helpers welcome either to run an activity or help someone else by sharing the work.
You don’t need to be an expert, just to have enthusiasm and a willingness to ‘have a go’.
