ANGRY Cambourne residents walked out of a public meeting to protest at the lack of progress at the new village.
The resident members of the Cambourne Management Liaison Committee (MLC) left the meeting and will not attend future meetings until their concerns have been addressed.
They are unhappy that the planned creation of a parish council next April is being hampered by a lack of information.
The MLC should be preparing a budget for the new parish council, but residents claim this is impossible without a list of future assets.
The list should come from South Cambridgeshire District Council but has, so far, not been supplied. They are also angry developers have failed to provide much-needed community facilities such as a market place and community centre.
At a recent Community Action Weekend, more than 300 residents signed a petition calling for progress.
A spokesman for the seven resident MLC members said: "We will remain actively lobbying on behalf of all residents for the early provision of all outstanding facilities and we will continue to support our community in every way possible."
Coun Daphne Spink, leader of the district council, said: "As chairman of the MLC I have every sympathy with their frustration over late delivery of amenities but this was a public meeting to which other residents had come to hear particular items on the agenda.
"This is not the way to behave when a meeting has been publicised as open to the public.
"All the concerns raised at the MLC meetings have been brought to the attention of both South Cambs and the developers and continue to be acted on."
She added: "It is a matter of great regret to me that members did not stay to discuss their concerns. We must have dialogue.
"There is nothing to be gained by turning one's back."
