Ian Sollom of the Liberal Democrats has become the Member of Parliament (MP) for St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire.
He is the first MP to represent the area since the new constituency was formed.
The Liberal Democrats secured a total of 19,517 votes, a 36.9% share of the vote.
The Conservatives came in second with 14,896, followed by Labour with 6,918. Reform UK got 5,673, Independent 2,941, Green 2,663 and Party of the Women received 274.
The turnout was 68%.
